The truth of is it: we were all born into a broken world. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 says that "The wages of sin is death," and what that really means is it separates of from God. God doesn't want to separated from us and more than we don't want to be separated from Him. But our sin has done that, so now what do we do? We depend on the one who was sinless, who was perfect: Jesus.

He came to this earth and lived a perfect, sinless life that He may be the perfect sacrifice. That He might give His life as atonement for my sin. And so what having faith in Christ is, in reality, is having faith in the work that Jesus did on the cross. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Will not perish, will not be separated, but live forever with Him.
It's not just a religious thing, it’s not just a going to church thing, it’s having LIFE IN HIS NAME.
How does this happen? It happens with a simple prayer, your version of saying: “Lord I believe in what you did for me, I believe you died on the cross for me, I believe you rose from the dead for me.”

This is just the first step! Jesus says follow me, and when we do, He begins to lead us where He needs us.
